APOS Bursting Manager for BusinessObjects XI R2

Background:
Sibley is a non-profit, full service 328 bed acute care community hospital serving the Washington, DC area. Their campus is also home to their assisted living residence, Grand Oaks and The Sibley Renaissance which houses their Center for Rehabilitation Medicine, Sibley Senior Services, skilled nursing care and a residential Alzheimer’s unit.

Challenge:
Sibley hospital’s primary focus is delivering patient care. The main focus of the IT department is to support all departments in accomplishing this goal. The finance department had previously distributed the budget reports using an internally developed visual basic software program. Now the IT department was looking for an easy way to distribute crystal report budget reports to multiple people in 118 departments. This was not possible with BusinessObjects Enterprise alone. Sibley Hospital turned to APOS to accomplish this.

Solution:
With the purchase of Bursting Manager, Sibley Hospital is able to distribute their budget reports to all the departments by email. Bursting Manager is also helping them with performance measures. It is being used to distribute monthly reports generated to show who is compliant with up to date training and performance requirements. Pre-Emptive Support

In an effort to improve the experience of customers downloading evaluation versions of APOS BI Tools, our support team has recently introduced a more proactive support approach. Shortly after you download APOS software, a member of the APOS support team will contact you to see if you require any assistance. The purpose of this call is purely to provide technical guidance and support through any challenges or questions that you may be having.

Will Daylight Saving Time affect APOS BI Tools?

Recently, a lot of our customers have been asking how Daylight Saving Time will affect their APOS BI Tools. Here's some information from our support Knowledgebase:

No updates are required specifically for the APOS BI Tools, however the following operating system and Business Objects updates are required:

• 2007 Time Zone Change for Microsoft Windows operating systems
• DST patch for BusinessObjects Enterprise, Crystal Enterprise, Crystal Reports, Data Integrator

Self-Service Support Portal for APOS BI Tools

Did you know we offer a self-service technical support portal? We do - it's provided exclusively for registered customers currently utilizing or evaluating APOS BI Tools. Simply e-mail support@apos.com and request a portal password, you will then receive your password by email.

Using this support portal you can:

• see a list of the most popular technical solutions
• review release notes on all products
• make enhancement requests
