XI
R2 Migration Toolkit - Limited Time Usage Program
* Cost
effective migration assistance
Migrating to
BusinessObjects XI Release 2?
Now you can use the powerful APOS Migration Toolkit, with
only a
limited time usage commitment. This new offer is specifically
designed to help with migrations and the shorter time period
involved.
The APOS Migration
Toolkit is a bundle of four APOS BI Tools, specifically chosen to
first assist you with XI R2 system administration as part of the
migration project itself.
Secondly, once your
basic migration to BusinessObjects XI R2 is complete, you are faced
with administrative and set up challenges that are very time
consuming. The APOS Migration Toolkit will save you time and
simplify the set-up process, as well as providing significant long
term maintenance and administration benefits.
The APOS Migration
Toolkit includes:
InfoScheduler -
an administrator power tool that provides bulk scheduling
capability, directly from Microsoft Excel. Ideal for creating
post-migration schedules.
Instance Manager - an administrator power tool that provides
a fast way to manage report instances in bulk—reschedule, pause,
release, export, print and more.
Object Manager - an administrator power tool that provides
bulk maintenance of objects (reports, folders, users, groups etc.)
- instead of using the Central Management Console one object at a
time.
Bursting Manager - follows business rules to burst an
existing large instance to
smaller individual instances OR burst one report to many separate
instances.
For more information,
check out our
Migration Toolkit White Paper or
contact us for the significant
savings involved in this new offering.

APOS BI Tools Used:
APOS Bursting Manager for BusinessObjects XI R2
Background:
Sibley is a
non-profit, full service 328 bed acute care
community hospital serving the Washington,
DC area. Their campus is also home to their
assisted living residence, Grand Oaks and
The Sibley Renaissance which houses their
Center for Rehabilitation Medicine, Sibley
Senior Services, skilled nursing care and a
residential Alzheimer’s unit.
Challenge:
Sibley
hospital’s primary focus is delivering
patient care. The main focus of the IT
department is to support all departments in
accomplishing this goal. The finance
department had previously distributed the
budget reports using an internally developed
visual basic software program. Now the IT
department was looking for an easy way to
distribute crystal report budget reports to
multiple people in 118 departments. This was
not possible with BusinessObjects Enterprise
alone. Sibley Hospital turned to APOS to
accomplish this.
Solution:
With the
purchase of Bursting Manager, Sibley
Hospital is able to distribute their budget
reports to all the departments by email.
Bursting Manager is also helping them with
performance measures. It is being used to
distribute monthly reports generated to show
who is compliant with up to date training
and performance requirements. "The systemic
issues were resolved and a huge amount of
manual processing has been removed. I can
see a huge benefit to any organization using
Bursting Manger. It automates the process,"
said Gordana Smith, It Specialist.
