Add-In Wrapper for Crystal Reports XI

Fast track integration with the Crystal Reports Add-In menu

The Crystal Reports Add-In interface allow third party software to integrate with Crystal Reports through menu items. Crystal Reports will ask each add-in for its list of menu items and then display those items on its menus. When the user selects one of the add-in menu options, the add-in is called with the ID of the menu item and a list of the files to apply it to. This allows the third party add-in to act on the file(s) Crystal Reports is working with.

The APOS Add-In Wrapper for Crystal Reports XI is comprised of a DLL (c2cBridge.dll) which provides a way to connect COM objects written in any language, like Visual Basic®, to the Crystal Reports® Add-In interface (also known as the VCommandDLL interface). The Crystal Reports Add-In API is a "C" style interface which is not easily handled by most COM servers like Visual Basic®.

The APOS Add-In Wrapper bridge DLL (c2cBridge.dll) provides COM friendly wrappers for all the parameters that need to be passed between Crystal Reports and your COM server. The bridge DLL defines an interface, ICRCommand, for the COM servers to implement. The bridge DLL then acts as a translation layer between Crystal Reports and the COM server.
