Conditional & Secure Publishing for SAP Analytics Cloud and S/4HANA

If you’ve been wondering how to get SAP Analytics Cloud and S/4HANA personalized analytics to the right people, at the right time, and in the right format, then this is the webinar for you:

Extend Analytics Content – Conditional & Secure SAC Publishin - On Demand
When: Thursday, April 29, 2021 – 11 am EDT

The webinar discusses how you can use APOS Publisher for Cloud for:

Conditional Bursting

Burst content when specified conditions are met or thresholds exceeded. Conditional bursting can ensure that outdated data is not sent, and that stakeholders are notified when critical KPIs cross predetermined thresholds.

APOS Publisher for Cloud is data-driven, which is what makes conditional bursting possible. Conditional bursting automates bursting of SAP Analytics Cloud and S/4HANA content when specific conditions` in your data are met. You may want to burst content on a regular basis, and APOS Publisher for Cloud allows you to schedule these bursts at whatever interval you choose, but it may only be useful to burst such content if the underlying data sources have been updated with current data.

Bursting outdated data can be counter-productive, misleading and downright injurious to your communications, so instead of scheduling your burst for a specific time of day, it may be better to set up conditional bursting to send the content only after it has been updated. Using APOS Publisher for Cloud, you can monitor the database that the story is based on. When the update timestamp indicates that the underlying data has been updated, APOS Publisher for Cloud automatically triggers the burst. You can also configure stories to be burst when certain thresholds are met or exceeded. This capability ensures that changes in critical KPIs are divulged to stakeholders in a timely manner.

Securing Sensitive Content

You need to ensure that sensitive and proprietary information being burst from SAP Analytics Cloud and S/4HANA stories is kept secure. APOS Publisher for Cloud lets you use encryption, password protection, and bursting to secure network locations to provide complete data governance.

Consider the following scenarios:

  • Distributing Sales Commission reports
  • Distributing Customer order confirmations
  • Distributing Patient information to physicians and clinicians

In each of these scenarios, you are publishing proprietary or personal information, and corporate governance and regulatory compliance demand that you protect this content from those who are not entitled to view it.

APOS Publisher for Cloud lets you can password-protect instances. Passwords are unique for each recipient and can be changed on a periodic basis (daily, weekly, etc.).

Instance Archival for Governance

Regulated industries frequently require organizations to retain “documents of record” for a specified period of time. APOS Publisher for Cloud can publish stories in neutral formats to network archive locations. These archived instances can then serve as documents of record and allow you to remain audit ready at all times.
This historical archive of reports can serve operational purposes, such as:

  • Future comparisons, management, quality controls
  • Order history, statements, status at a given time, etc.

They can also server as documents of record for audit purposes, regulatory compliance, and certification:

  • Auditor – internal & external
  • Regulatory - Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, etc.
  • Certifications – ISO, etc.
